Event Details

A teenage girl is missing, only 13 unbeknown to her parents and small group of friends her "boyfriend" is 18 and has convinced her to go with him to Las Vegas. He has been grooming her and will "sell her" so he can make money to buy a new car. This is Human Trafficking, a taboo subject many people don't want to think or talk about taking place here in the United States as well as in Indiana. However, it is more prevalent now. 14,000-17,500 children a year are victims and with the Super Bowl here in Indianapolis, more are becoming aware of it. During this educational presentation by Kay Huffman Jones, you will learn about what it is, what some of the indicators are of victims, and how to prevent your daughter or son from becoming a victim. Hopefully with more people aware of this monstrous crime we will be able to end modern-day slavery, as it is also known.
